To explore biblical teachings on the heart, its role in spiritual transformation, and the application of scriptural principles in daily living. Module 1 - The heart (right lobe) of the soul of man; the place of emotions, wisdom, intuition, your conscience and free will. The mind (left lobe), is the place of academic knowledge, intellect and understanding.
Module 2 - The purpose of this lesson is to encourage you to be intentional about developing a greater intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus, to let Him know that in spite of everything going on today in our world and our lives that we love Him, and to have assurance that he hears us and will answer when we call upon Him to present our requests, petitions and supplications to Him from our hearts.
Module 3 - Whose voice are you hearing? Can you hear God's voice in the midst of all the noise...a pandemic, global disruption, businesses closing, challenging transition of democratic power, war, separation of families, losses of epic proportion, and numerous natural disasters and economic uncertainties. Whose voice are you hearing..."Reason versus Revelation?"
Module 4 - The usage of the word (heart) for the right lobe of the soul is based on the analogy to the physical heart. Just as the natural heart is the pump that circulates blood throughout the body and thereby support physical life, so the right lobe of the soul circulates Bible doctrine that supports the spiritual life of the believer.
Module 5: Proverbs 23:7 (New American Standard) For as a man thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, "eat and drink!" But his heart is not with you.
Module 6: While there are many mental attitudes, there are only two viewpoints of life (1) Human viewpoint and (2) Divine viewpoint.
Module 7: What does it mean to live holy: (1) to be set apart, consecrated; (2) to be morally pure, pure in heart; (3) to live a lifestyle pleasing to God.
Module 8: Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. Ephesians 4:18 - Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.
Module 9: The conscience, where norms and standards reside. Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure.
Module 10: I the Lord search the heart (right lobe) and examine the mind (left lobe) to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.
